Amy Poehler And Her Hilarious Friends Help Shelter Pups Find Homes, And We’re ROFL
October 14, 2015
As if we didn't love Amy Poehler enough already, her organization "Amy Poehler's Smart Girls," which is dedicated to helping girls be their wonderful, awesome selves, has just premiered its new series: "Heavy Petting!" Tell yourself you won't freak out. Go watch this thang. Then freak out A LOT.
In her own, weird way, this is what Amy decides is the best way to get shelter dogs adopted. She and a bunch of her famous, hilarious friends have teamed up with the ASPCA to give a voice---literally---to homeless pups. You can look forward to some of the most wag-worthy comedians lending their pipes and their humor to a variety of dogs; I'm talkin' the joking chops of Aziz Ansari, Aubrey Plaza, and Nick Offerman of Parks and Recreation, plus a bunch more!
First up is Bart the mixed-breed (voiced by former SNL writer, John Mulaney), who has 79 toys (fun fact!) but only plays with these two. We understand.
Also, potential adopters must have great breath and hella Cheerios. Bart likes Cheerios.
Seriously folks, if you want to laugh, press play. I watched many times, and now I want Bart to come to my house and tell me jokes. (Adopters be warned, he probably won't do this IRL).
