Andy Murray is used to relying on his cat-like lightning-quick reflexes on the tennis court, but it seems he’s been using his talents to add puppy savior to his list of awesome titles!

Murray nearly missed his pre-Wimbledon practice on Sunday morning because he was stopping traffic and saving lives! As a dog lover and pup parent of two Terriers, Murray didn’t hesitate to stop oncoming cars while on his way to the All England Club when he saw a Labradoodle on the loose. From Murray’s website:

“I saw a dog running loose along the road and stopped to try and help. After a bit of a struggle, I managed to get it in the back seat of my car, rang the number on the tag and eventually got the dog back to its owner, safe and sound. Quite what anybody in the passing cars made of it all, I’ve no idea!”
Um, we can’t speak for anyone else, but “that’s a totally pawsome thing to do/best of luck at Wimbledon/call me” is what we make of it. 🙂
