Move over, Emirates and Singapore Airlines — British Airways might be gearing up to take the award for the world’s best in-flight entertainment.
No more flipping through the Doody Free magazine or perusing the safety card for the 11th time. No more staring out the window at nothing on transatlantic night flights. The future of stress-free air travel is here, and it comes in the form of a channel devoted solely to PUPPIES (and kittens, but whatever).
Paws and Relax is BA’s new way of getting passengers to sit and stay. Take it from this former flight attendant: relaxed passengers = a great flight for everyone.
“It might sound barking, but there’s lots of research to suggest that watching pets can enhance overall wellbeing. We have sniffed out some fantastic content that is cute, comforting and sure to appeal to travellers of all ages”, said BA in-flight entertainment manager Richard D’Cruze.
The original content will feature a mix of celebrity pets and not-so-famous shelter animals from well-known UK shelter Battersea Dogs & Cats Home, some of which need rehoming. Sounds great to us!
