******UPDATE 10/18/15******
Luna has been returned to her family!
Police found the unharmed pup in a nearby vacant building after one of the ever-so-clever thieves called the dog’s family fishing for a reward. Two arrests were made and the individuals were charged with criminal possession of stolen property.
Despite being physically sound, Luna’s owner, Nancy Torres, says the pup is “different.” “She was scared,” she said. “[Before] she’d be up, playing with the toys.” It’s no wonder Luna is a little shellshocked. Hopefully she will quickly realize that she’s home safe with the people who love her, and learn to be a puppy again.
Torres and her family say they hope to move themselves and their four dogs to a safer location soon, but right now all seems to be right in the world.

Gaudencio Rosendo returned home on Tuesday to find his apartment in complete disarray. A burglar had broken into his Bronx apartment and stolen approximately $1,000, a Playstation, multiple pairs of Air Jordans, but worst of all, his two month old Siberian Husky puppy, Luna.
Not only was Luna missing, but the family’s three other dogs had paint splattered on them from being hit with a paintball gun. The thief had also sprayed them with pepper spray.
Gaudencio said:
“I want her back, I don’t care they can keep everything else, I just want the baby back.”
I sincerely hope this puppy is returned to her rightful pawrents. But first, I hope she chews the crap out of those stolen Air Jordans!
