, we introduced you to Butler, the Weather Channel's new therapy dog. Now that Butler has completed his training, he is beginning his new career visiting those in need. This week, Butler and his trainer/mom, Amy McCullough, were in Vilonia, Arkansas, the site of the recent devastating tornadoes.
Butler went into the community to meet those affected by the tragedy. People were able to pet, talk to and hug Butler. Because of his training, Butler is a terrific, affectionate companion to those in need.
Despite the destruction, the people of Vilonia and all of Arkansas remain resilient.
Earlier this month, Butler traveled to Moore, OK, the site of the deadly 2013 tornadoes.
Butler visited the Moore Public Library and made a bunch of new friends! He brought smiles to the faces of the children of Moore.
Butler was also able to visit the Moore Fire Department and the Moore Medical Center.
Butler will continue to travel the country, helping those affected by natural disasters and individuals in need. And after a long day bringing smiles to the communities affected, Butler gets a much deserved nap!
