Now this is one amenity we wish every resort would offer.

In a move that is aimed not only at giving their guests a great experience, but also an effort to help some cooped up pups get some fun, Utah Red Mountain Resort has teamed up with nearby Ivins Animal Shelter to create the Pound Puppy Hike.

Two times every week, pups under the care of Ivins get to go on a hike with guests through the Red Mountain and surrounding canyons. The program began 10 years ago through a Resort employee who also volunteered with Ivins.

And sometimes, dogs also find their furever homes through the program. To date, 70 pups have been adopted just by being pound puppy hikers.

Now that’s what we’d call the best hiking trip ever.
