A black bear made a big mistake when it attacked two children in Russia. It didn't count on the fact that the little ones had a ferocious guard dog on their side.
A tiny Dachshund.
The two young boys, Stas and Nikita, were out playing in the middle of their village when a black bear grabbed Stas and began to trample and bite him. Desperate to save his friend, Nikita ran at the bear and threw a large stone at its head. The animal then turned its attention on Nikita.
All of the sudden, help arrived in the form of a Dachshund named Tosya. The little pup's barks distracted the bear and diverted its attention away from the boys. The Dachshund led the bear on a chase into the forest, giving the boys the opportunity to escape.
The boys were taken to the hospital and treated for their injuries. As for Tosya, she returned home safely and was given cake as a reward for her bravery! High paws, Tosya!
