What’s Disco Dog? Only the BEST THING EVER that came out of the buzz of SXSW!
The brainchild of creative lab PARTY, Disco Dog is an LED vest FOR YOUR PUP that can be controlled through an app on your phone. Not only that, it has multiple settings! You can have it change colors, trigger different light patterns, even write a message in text so your dog is a walking text-ticker of AWESOMENESS.
Better yet, the vest also has a “Lost Dog” setting, which triggers whenever your dog walks out of range of your phone! The geniuses at PARTY are also currently thinking of ways the vest could possibly be used with service dogs.
When PARTY brought the prototype to the BarkPost office, it was clear that besides being a great conversation piece, this has definite practical applications.

Although the vest is not waterproof yet, the team behind it hopes to develop the prototype further so it will be. They plan on having it be chargeable via USB as well. Still in its first stages, they have a Kickstarter going to help fund production and development of this awesome pawty piece for dogs of all sizes (and yes, they want to make it in small, medium and large!).
So you must ask yourself: Do you want a jacket for your pup that lights up AND MAKES LIFE INTO ONE LONG CELEBRATION OF COLOR AND PAWESOMENESS???
