Wolf-Dog Is So Beside Himself Visiting Grandmother’s Grave He Can’t Hold Back His Sobs

Maybe it has something to do with shameless anthropomorphizing of our pets’ emotions, but this big boy named Wiley sure tied our hearts up in knots as he “cried” at his grandma’s gravesite. As many have guessed, the pup is actually reverse sneezing, which is usually caused by spasms as a result of irritation of the soft palate.

No worries, though. It can be triggered by pulling on the leash, general excitement, eating or drinking, and allergies, among other things. It produces no ill effects, and is pretty common in most dogs. For this guy, his human’s loss simply took his breath away.
