Imagine a beautiful day: you’re on a leisurely stroll with your dog, and the next time you turn around to check on him, he’s gone. For this pup’s mom, Kristen Seldon, the panic set in immediately when she realized her dog “Yeti,” a 95lb Golden Retriever/Great Pyrenees mix, was swept away by a creek as she tried to get a drink.
In a miracle of miracles, Officer Jake Smith appeared minutes later and hoisted Yeti safely from a large drain pipe before the water pulled her beneath the roadway. Watch below as the officer’s body camera captures the entire thing in one dramatic episode, and as the fluffy Yeti — dripping wet — finds her land legs again.
