Fear no more! Now you can share your Sunday funday boozy brunch with any of these five easy meals that both you and your pup can enjoy. You might want to keep the bottomless mimosas to yourself though. 😉

*Note: These meals are made from doggie-friendly human ingredients, but always make sure to consult your vet before feeding your pup anything he might not be used to.

Health benefits for your pup:

The omega fatty acids in peanut butter can help lower your dog’s cholesterol, it’s also a great natural cure for bad breath! Strawberries are a great source of fiber, vitamins, enzymes and antioxidants. Bananas have high levels of vitamin B, C and potassium, which aren’t typically found in the average dog food.

2. Fancy Banana Pancakes

What you’ll need:

1/3 cup of all-natural oatmeal (no artificial flavors or additives)
1/2 banana
2 strawberries
2 eggs

For the batter, mix the oatmeal, banana and one egg in a blender until smooth. Use either a non-stick pan or organic coconut oil to make the pancakes. Boil the second egg and slice the strawberries for decorative purposes that your pup might not entirely appreciate, but will devour anyway.

Health benefits for your pup:

Oatmeal is commonly used to help with digestive issues in dogs; it’s also high in fiber, iron, and vitamin B-6. Eggs are great for your pup’s healthy bones and teeth because their naturally occurring vitamin-D helps with absorbing calcium.

3. Equally Unappealing And Deliciously Healthy Chicken Patties

What you’ll need:

1 cup of plain white chicken, shredded
1/3 cup of oatmeal
4 baby carrots, diced

Whisk the egg and oatmeal together in a bowl with a fork until well-mixed. Add the chicken and carrots and continue whisking. Use a non-stick pan or organic coconut oil to make the patties. With a big spoon, scoop out the mixture and carefully place it on the pan, use the spoon to help make the patties circular. Cover the patties with a lid to make sure the oatmeal cooks throughly, then flip the patties evenly until they’re nice and solid.

“Wait did you say VEGGIES? I don’t wanna like veggies! I think I like veggies now!”

Health benefits for your pup:

Chicken could actually be a healthy alternative for a meal. As long as it’s fully cooked and prepared without any additives like seasoning or salt, it’s perfectly safe (and delicious) for your pup). Carrots are packed with lots of vitamins that can help promote a strong doggie immune system.

4. Sweet Potato Chips In Snowy Strawberry Field

What you’ll need:

Unsweetened coconut flakes
1 small sweet potato, sliced (try using a mandoline slicer if you have one)
1/2 a banana, sliced
Some strawberries, diced. Jk, also sliced

2

Preheat your oven to 250 degrees F. Spread the sliced and washed sweet potato slices on a baking sheet and toss them in olive oil. Bake for about two hours and flip once, halfway, to ensure full cooking. Make sure to cool before serving!

That moment you remember you told your sister you’d save her a sweet potato chip but the last one is in your mouth.

Health benefits for your pup:

Sweet potatoes have the highest concentration of amino acids in the starch family. Amino acids help with your pup’s antioxidant activity and healthy muscles. Fully cooked and plain sweet potatoes are safe and fiber-packed for a healthy digestive system.

5. Peanut Butter Cookie Throne

What you’ll need:

1/2 cup of oatmeal (plain)
For the cookies–
2/3 cup of pumpkin puree (canned, all-natural pumpkin)
1/4 cup of all-natural peanut butter
2 large eggs
3 cups of whole wheat flour (I used coconut)

2.

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F. Using an electric mixer, mix the pumpkin puree, peanut butter and eggs for about two minutes. Then, slowly add in the flour until the dough stops being sticky. Using your hands, knead the dough until it comes together. I squeezed small pieces and shaped them into simple circles; you can flatten out the dough and use your pup’s favorite cookie cutter for a funner look! place the cookies in the oven and bake for about 25 minutes, until golden brown. For the oatmeal: mix the oatmeal with water in a bowl until all of it is completely submerged. Cook it in a microwave for about three minutes (open the microwave door halfway to make sure it doesn’t spill over). Let it cool before serving. Make sure to ask your pup if she wants the cookies in or beside the oatmeal!

“Alright look I’m smiling okay?! You happy?!”

Health benefits for your pup:

Coconut flour is a healthy alternative to wheat (for both you and your pup). Coconut products have also been proven to aid in digestion issues and boosting the immune system response. Canned pumpkin is a miracle food and natural remedy for upset tummies! Its fiber content helps ease a tummy discomfort and promote healthy poop time.
