Your eyes are not deceiving you. That isn’t a cheetah with those cubs, but an Australian Shepherd dog named Blakely. The cubs’ mother sadly did not survive the recovery period following a c-section.

Blakely is no stranger to the nanny role; he has helped many babies grow up in the zoo and was featured on The Today Show and in USA Today. The Cincinnati Zoo’s nursing staff is addressing the nutritional needs of the cubs by bottle feeding them, and they are well on their way to leaving the nursery in a couple of months.
