In case you can’t tell, the giant blur in the right side of the above photo is a dog running with a snow shovel. His name is Lexington and he actually hates snow, which is probably why he’s very excited about shoveling it. He wants it G.O.N.E.
Don’t believe me? Check this out:
Check out Lexington, who is up for adoption at Unleashed. He makes all of us laugh and wanted to help shovel snow! Who's ready for Spring?!?!

Don’t you wish you had a dog who would shovel snow for you? Well, you can! Lexington is up for adoption! This goofy boy has been at Unleashed Pet Rescue and Adoption in Mission, Kansas since April 2014. He is desperate for a furever home.
This pretty-eyed boy loves anything red and will carry his toys around with him. Despite his exuberant personality, Lex has some confidence issues. His new human needs to be consistent and confident, so that Lex can learn the ways of the world. If you haven’t guessed already, this pup probably needs a human who’s not a first time dog owner – which is awesome because Lexington does well with boy and girl dogs! But, he doesn’t do that great with cats or with young children.
All of those reasons are part of why Lex has been without a home for long. Sometimes, when people hear what a dog needs in order to have a happy home, they immediately think that means the dog is bad. Ridiculous, right? Dogs are like people. Some have a lot of energy, some are more chill. Some people like little kids, some don’t. It doesn’t mean there’s something wrong with them.
Can you imagine never finding love because you aren’t perfect? That’s what happens to Lexington and thousands of dogs like him.
I mentioned he was goofy, right? He’s also full of surprises. A shelter volunteer did a DNA test on him, and you won’t believe what the result was: This big lug is a Basset Hound-Bullmastiff mix. WHAAA????? I know, right?
This four year old cutie ruvs kisses and being a dingus.
Here he is in total dingus mode:
Crazy BSL laws kept me from attending the wine event to, but I am not upset, I am having a pool party!! #lexpartyofone

Even though he has lots of love at Unleashed Pet Rescue and Adoption, spending nearly 640 days without a family is a very long time, especially for a dog. In reality, Lexington has been without a home longer than that. His original family left him at a kill shelter in Missouri. We know there’s a human out there who’s waiting for a dingus just like Lexington.
Lexington deserves to start off his 2016 with a loving family. If you’re interested in adding this pupdorable guy to your family, and are in the Mission, Kansas area, contact Unleashed Pet Rescue and Adoption.
