The outpouring of support for these dogs and their family has been immense. Don’t forget that the shelter has many dogs that would love a loving forever home. You can see all of their available pets at their website.

So often, we hear about owners who abandon their dogs at shelters, but that’s not what happened here. Thor and Sara Lee’s owner had to do something heartbreaking, something that he hopes will result in a better life for his two dogs. He hopes they will find a family that will adopt them both, and will love them as much as he does.

Thor and Little Sara Lee are available for adoption from the Hoke County Animal Shelter in Redford, North Carolina.
