Salt Lake City firefighters came across an injured Vizsla during their hike along a mountain range. The Vizsla, named Rue, had badly injured her paw after running away on the 4th of July, and was found scared and thirsty on the trail.
Firefighter Tony Stowe, who is probably used to saving cats stuck in trees, really took it up a notch this time…
Not only did he rescue Rue from the ledge she was stuck on, he also carried her 3.5 kilometers to protect her paw!
And thanks to her microchip, Rue was reunited with her family the very next day!
