“The Management” at Hotel Cartwright in San Francisco have a sense of humor we can appreciate.

When guests arrive to check in, they’re greeted by a witty and wonderful message. Framed, for effect. It’s essentially a short essay entitled “Why Dogs Are More Welcome Than You, You Filthy Beasts.”
“Dogs are welcome in this hotel,” the note reads. “We never had a dog that smoked in bed and set fire to the blankets. We never had a dog that stole our towels and played the T.V. too loud, or had a noisy fight with his traveling companion. We never had a dog that got drunk and broke up the furniture…. So if your dog can vouch for you, you’re welcome too.”
Well, they clearly haven’t checked under the beds for all the balls and bones that rolled were hidden under there. But at least every four-legged guest gets a new surprise.
If you live up to your dog’s (and this hotel’s) expectations, then carry on!
