In Woodstock, Illinois a good samaritan discovered a duct-taped pillowcase on a cold, rainy night with a puppy inside. According to the Hoof Woof and Meow Animal Rescue, an instructor at McHenry County College was on his way to work when he stopped his motorcycle and saw movement from the pillowcase on the side of the road.

He then took the puppy with him to class and alerted Woodstock police.

The rescue located in Gilberts, Illinois took in “Woofstock” to be checked over and nursed back to health. He is believed to be a Boxer or Boxer mix and between four and six weeks old. Woofstock was clearly hungry as it had been some time since his last meal, but he still showed a lot of puppy spirit. Thankfully, rescuers do not believe he was in this dire situation for long and was in fairly good shape.

Hoof Woof and Meow Rescue reports that the puppy “is doing well” in his foster home and that they are accepting applications for this charming guy’s adoption. If you can’t adopt, the rescue is always in need of donations for Woofstock and the welfare of his fellow rescue residents.

While police are still searching for the person who did this, we are sure this little cutie pie already has tons of interested adopters—none of which would have been possible without the quick thinking and kind heart of a good samaritan.
