These Greyhounds Don’t Like Stairs, So Their Human Built Them An Elevator

Greyhounds Jaeger, Katie, Manfred, and Julius are a bunch of VERY loved pups.

Yaeger, the eldest of the bunch, has hip problems and is pretty second-and third-floor challenged. And even though the brindle boy, Julius, is the only one with the hips and the knowledge to conquer a set of stairs, he prefers to join his mates.

That’s about when pup parent Maurizio Venturini realized exactly what his next steps would be (no pun intended). Attached to his three-story home, he constructed a fully operational elevator just for his dogs.

My dad's greyhounds have to go downstairs using an elevator

It would be an understatement to say that they enjoy the ride. Venturini’s daughter Sheila, who originally shared the video on Facebook, told BuzzFeed:

[Julius] will go down the stairs, then come back up them just so he can use the elevator! They’re all getting old except for Julius, so they couldn’t really do stairs even if they all knew how to at this point, so the elevator is easier for them.

These puppers really take their couch potato reputation to a whole new level!
