A young Pit Bull’s owner recently abandoned her at a bus stop in Detroit. Two fine young gentleman watched as the man walked the dog around, asking if anyone wanted her, and then simply stepped on a bus and left.
They stayed with the Pittie girl, keeping her safe until the Detroit Pit Crew Dog Rescue arrived to take her. The pup is now called Scratch, since her rescuer had gone to get a scratch-off and ended up coming to rescue her instead.

We’d say Scratch definitely won the lottery this time! Check out the video the Detroit Pit Crew posted to their Facebook page of the moment they arrived on the scene.
Just rescued! Scratch was being dumped by her owner when these kind gentleman intervened and grabbed her and kept her safe until we could get there.

Because of the large number of dogs they rescue, the Detroit Pit Crew does not adopt directly to the public; instead, adoptive families are encouraged to contact a local Detroit rescue to find the best pup for them. To follow updates on Scratch, visit the rescue’s Facebook page.
