Larry the dog appeared on our list of 26 most influential dogs for his work in promoting Pit Bulls as they truly are: huge goofballs that love to cuddle. Armed with sweet pictures and snack balancing skills, he has been shattering the stereotype that Pit Bulls are inherently dangerous dogs, an unfortunate label given to the breed that enthusiasts say is wholly untrue.

He found his humans at the tender age of five weeks and immediately became BFFs with his older brother Boone, who’s a 22-pound Beagle mix and often poses with Larry in the most adora-bull pics.

Besides the epic snugglefests caught on camera, Larry poses for countless solo shots that illustrate the tenderness Pit Bull lovers are quick to highlight when defending these precious pups.

But Larry doesn’t lounge on the sofa all day long. He’s appeared in plenty of events like the Parade-A-Bull walk and the Indy Pit Crew’s Pit Bull Awareness walk, as well as local radio station WSVX. His next project involves training to pass the AKC Canine Good Citizen test, which will prove to the rest of the world what his fans already know: he’s a lover, not a fighter.
A huge thanks to Larry’s human Mandy and Karen Lynch for the story! You can follow Larry and his family on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Larry the Dog.
