Manny The Frenchie Delivers A Special Message To A Girl With Cystic Fibrosis

Joycelun was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis when she was five months old. The genetic disease causes thick layers of mucus to build up in several organs, including the lungs. This makes breathing almost impossible and greatly increases the risk of infection, as the mucus traps bacteria in the lungs. Joycelun’s condition was so severe that she recently had a lung transplant.

Despite all of this, Joycelun has an exuberant spirit. One of the things that keeps her upbeat, is Manny the Frenchie.

Joycelun’s step-sister wrote to Manny asking if he would come to New Orleans to visit one of his biggest fans. Of course, Manny said yes! Watch the video above to see how happy Joycelun was to snuggle Manny. Visit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation to learn more about the disease and to find out how you can help.
