If you’re wondering wherefore art thou Romeo, it’s because this pooch left in below-freezing temps is a huge sweetheart! Romeo is still looking for his forever home after being abandoned at animal control’s door, and needs a kind hero to give him a home.

Who could say no to those big brown eyes?
The shelter says Romeo is a big lover boy who is great with humans of all ages. He’s about 1.5 years old with an active but gentle personality, and is working super hard on his manners, like not jumping up and being polite on a leash.
If you are interested in adopting Romeo, please contact the shelter by phone at (973) 263-7083 or visit them at 1069 Parsippany Blvd, Parsippany, New Jersey Mon–Fri 3–5 P.M. or Sat–Sun 9 A.M.–12 P.M.

Patrol Officer J. Williams found a Pit Bull tied to the fence of Parsippany County Animal Control. It was 23 degrees outside and there was snow on the ground. Whoever abandoned the dog left one toy, a bag of food, and a bowl of water—the water in the bowl was frozen solid.
Officer Williams rushed the dog to his patrol car to keep him warm. The Pittie responded the way any thankful pup would—with lots of kisses. Officer Williams couldn’t resist the opportunity to capture the adorable moment and snapped a selfie.
Once Animal Control Officer K. Kopshaw arrived, officers took the dog inside of the shelter. The dog was not injured, thankfully.
Animal Control is currently looking for the dog’s owner. We will update this story as more information becomes available.
