80-year-old Teresinha Prieto Flores was admitted to the University Hospital of Santa Maria in December of last year. Since then, she has been without her beloved pup, Pink.
In the last few weeks, Flores was fading. Although she was only partly lucid, she still made repeated requests to see her dog once more.
Moved by her final request, the hospital workers were able to successfully appeal the rules against pups and were able to reunite the two one last time before Flores passed away.
