Recently, the pups and humans here in the Bark & Co. pawfices had a big move to a new space here in NYC.

Dog treehouses in the new office. 🙂

Last year when our old landlord told us that the dogs couldn’t come to work anymore, we said fur-get about you and we started looking for a new office. Luckily we found a pawsome spot that would allow us to stay in Chinatown AND bring our pups to work.

Our landlord, Rambo.
Our new landlord, Rambo. The humans report to him.

To build the perfect office for peeps and pups, we started from scratch. Belly scratch, not butt scratch.

We wanted to have a place that felt like home for all species.

There’s a kitchen for the humans…

…But everything else is for the pups.

The dogs can sit on the desks…

Here at Bark & Co. we don’t look at our pups as possessions– they’re more like muses. Nothing illustrates this better than the photograph we have hanging in the main room of Andy Warhol and his pup, Archie.

And no person illustrates this dogs-as-muse relationship better than our favorite cartoonist, Dave Coverly. You might recognize Dave’s artwork from the outsides of BarkBoxes, The BarkPost logo, and his comic strip Speed Bump.

Just as Dave’s drawings appear all over our BarkBoxes, we also wanted his drawings to pop up everywhere around the office.

One wall in particular has some master-pee-ces.

We love celebrating dogs being dogs in everything that we do here at Bark & Co. Dave really gets that and we ruv him so much for it. <3

As we continue to grow, our main priority stays the same. We always want to serve dogs and dog-ruvin’ peeps. If this requires giving belly rubs until we get carpal tunnel, listening to squeaky toys until our ears bleed, or working our tails off to make sure we get as many pups adopted as we can– that’s cool.
