The only things dangerously powerful about Thanos are his puppy eyes—almost surely what convinced Whitney Eakins and her husband to make him Dog #8 when they happened upon him at their local Tractor Supply Co.
On August 13th, the couple set out to stock up on 7 dogs-worth of treats, where they spotted a terrified-looking puppy in a customer’s cart. When Whitney asked to pet and gush over the little brindle boy, the customer asked if she wanted the puppy for herself.
“Apparently a couple had come in earlier getting rid of a litter of puppies saying that if they couldn’t find them homes, they were going to the shelter. (Our shelters are overrun right now.) So this kind lady took the brindle as he was the last one,” Whitney wrote on Facebook.
Like any perfectly normal dog person, that was all the convincing it took to add one more pup to the crew and set up his own Instagram @thanos_the_ts_rescuedog.
Thanos has a lot of growing and playing to do, and we thought it only right to congratulate him on his new family with a collection of BARK’s Super Chewer Tractor Supply toys, so the fun definitely lasts until naptime. And then again. And again.
