Scrap every plan you had for this weekend, because this new exhibition of dog sculptures by Wilfrid Wood at London’s Beach Gallery is where you need to be.
Picture this: large sculptures of schnauzers and shar-peis and bichon frises! There’s even a papier mache Morrissey Terrier. Yes, Morrissey in terrier form. It’s pretty much the best thing we’ve ever heard of.
And if you can handle even more awesome, Wilfrid Wood will be drawing dog portraits on his ‘Day Of Drawing’ at the gallery on December 17th. It’s BYOD – Bring Your Own Dog! – and we couldn’t think of a better holiday gift. You can pre-order here.
Here are some of our favourite works from the show.
“Hope and love on two legs” features Faith, a dog born in the US without front legs who learnt to walk on her back legs
Wall hanging papier-mache Shar-Pei
Jiff, the movie actor/model dog

Wilfrid Wood – Dogs runs from December 4th, 2014 to January 31st, 2015 at Beach Gallery, 20 Cheshire St (off Brick Lane), London.
