Determined Veterinarians Save Dying Puppy Who Weighed Less Than A Pound

On February 28th, a good samaritan found a puppy abandoned in a park and tried to care for her on her own by feeding her milk.


After two days, with the puppy’s condition deteriorating, the rescuer brought tiny dog to the San Jose Animal Care Center. The fragile pup was in very critical condition, weighing less than a pound. She was hypothermic and hypoglycemic. A scary situation, but one the vets were determined to take on.

Fred’s Friends has now named her Lily. As you can read from the Facebook post above, Lilly is now strong enough to eat and that, despite all she went through, she loves to give kisses!
