Snow is no obstacle for 90-year-old WWII veteran Claude Bratcher and his loyal sidekick, Smitty.

Instead of cowering from Tennessee’s recent dump of snow, Claude and the family dog decided to tackle the white stuff sled first, reports WBIR.

On Thursday, the daring senior was watching his great-grandkids get pulled through the snow by an ATV when he started to get the itch to ride.

“They were all out sledding,” his son John Bratcher told WBIR. “I told Dad, ‘You want to ride over and watch them?’ and he said, ‘Yeah, let’s go.’ So I put him in the truck and we rode over, and he sat there a while and said, ‘I believe I’ll try it, too.'”

So Claude sat down on the red piece of plastic and prepared for the trip. Once the great-grandpa started to get moving, Smitty knew he had to join in on the fun too. Thankfully, one of the youngsters captured Claude’s magic sled ride on his GoPro for all to enjoy.

This spin on the snow is all part of the veteran’s secret to staying young at heart.

“Well, you can’t sit down and do nothing. You have to stay busy,” Claude advised. “If you sit down and do nothing, you’re in trouble.”
