Ah yes, Siberian Huskies, the majestic dog breed whose intelligence, endurance, and ferocity echoes that of their wolf ancestors.

And yet… they’re one of the derpiest, goofiest breeds of the entire dog world. How did such lovable, beautiful weirdos come into existence? Well, the lineage can get complicated, but the simplest answer is selective breeding.
Huskies require a 1:1 ratio of beauty and derp. That’s just science. (Just kidding, that’s not how science works at all.) When huskies are bred (by design or accident) with other breeds, their pups are destined to inherit some of their parents’ cuteness and quirks. 1) Alusky (Alaskan Malamute + Husky)
Malamutes and Siberian huskies are constantly being confused for one another because of their similar appearance. Usually the easiest ways to tell them apart are that malamutes are much larger, usually weighing 70–95 pounds, and typically have brown eyes.
Huskies, surprisingly, only weigh 35–60 pounds and are known for their blue eyes, although it’s very common for them to have brown eyes or be bi-eyed (one eye of each color).
2) Samusky (Samoyed + Husky)
Both of these breeds are known for their intelligence and energy, which makes for a mischievous combo. Get ready for tons of hikes and long-distance walks, or you’ll get your exercise by filling all the boredom holes they’ve dug in your yard!
3) Husky Inu (Shiba Inu + Husky)
If you think you’re the one wearing the pants in the family, wait ’til you meet a husky Inu. Shibas and huskies are both known for their stubbornness. Be prepared to put your foot down on things like “how many baths per year are considered appropriate,” or this mix will be making those decisions for you.
4) Huskita (Akita Inu + Husky)
Adopting this mix might just be better than installing a security system. You have the husky, whose howls are like the police siren of the dog world, mixed with the loyalty and protective momma-bear qualities of the Akita. These guys will not be quietly and gently holding the flashlight for whoever is robbing your house.
5) Chusky (Chow Chow + Husky)
These dogs are both loyal to their owners and loyally committed to sprinkling consistent layers of fur around your house, like an Olive Garden server shredding parmesan on your pasta and waiting for you to tell them to stop. (They will never stop.)
6) Alaskan Klee Kai (American Eskimo, Schipperke, + Husky)
Klee Kais are now considered their own established breed, but we decided these cuties deserved a spot on the list as this breed was creating using an Alaskan husky, Siberian husky, American Eskimo, and Schipperkes.
(The term “husky” usually refers to Siberian huskies, but there’s actually a separate breed of Alaskan husky, too!) Klee Kais look a lot like huskies, but only weigh 5–22 pounds!
7) Huskimo (American Eskimo + Husky)
Both high energy breeds made to withstand the cold, you’d better start saving up for a dog sled when you decide to bring this mix into your life!
8) Standard Collie + Husky
In the words of social media influencer TheRealAngryReactions, “GORGEOUS!”
9) Newsky (Newfoundland + Husky)
Newfoundland dogs (often referred to as Newfies) are gentle giants and love to be loved, whereas a lot of huskies have a more independent streak. The personality of a Newsky could lean toward either parent breed, but no matter what, expect a 100% chance of fur precipitation spread evenly across your home each day of the week.
10) Pyrenees Husky (Great Pyrenees + Husky)
This combo has the intelligence and work ethic coming from both parents’ sides. Be prepared though, because all that intelligence can mean double the stubbornness. They’re certain they know more than you (okay, sometimes they do)! And that work ethic? Double the diligence of hard-worked hours coating your entire house in fur!
11) Pomsky (Pomeranian + Husky)
Touted as “smaller huskies” when they first came on the scene as designer dogs, if you’re looking for a calm, quiet lapdog that just looks like a husky, this is not the dog for you. A pomsky is going to have the energy and chattiness of a husky!
12) Goberian (Golden Retriever + Husky)
The friendliness of a golden retriever mixed with the goofiness of a husky? I’ll take all of them!
13) Shepsky (German Shepherd + Husky)
These two breeds are both working dogs, but we don’t advise giving them a desk job or they’re probably going to eat the desk out of sheer boredom. They’re more the hands-on type of workers.
14) Labsky (Labrador Retriever + Husky)
Labskies are going to be a ball of fun-loving energy. Be prepared for SO many games of fetch!
15) American Bulldog + Husky
American bulldogs are known for their sweetness and strength, while huskies win the award for energy and endurance. This mix is going to need proper leash training, but may err on the side of a Snugglesaurus rex. If you’re into biking, this would be a good combo for bikejoring.
16) Pitsky (Pit Bull/American Staffordshire Terrier + Husky)
Looking for a version of a husky with a little less of a vacuuming commitment? This might be the combo for you!
17) Aussie Siberian (Australian Shepherd + Husky)
With the herding skills of an Australian shepherd and the prey drive of the Siberian husky, their internal voices must be waging wars on how to act around other animals.
18) Border Collie + Husky
A Busky? A Horder? No matter what you decide to call this combo, be prepared for nuclear amounts of energy!
19) Catahoula Leopard Dog + Husky
This may be a bit of a mischievous mix if you’re not consistent with training. With the inquisitive nature of a Catahoula Leopard Dog mixed with the Houdini skills of a husky, you may very well end up with an escape artist learning to pick locks and breaking into the treat cupboard if you’re not careful.
20) Horgi/Siborgi (Corgi + Husky)
It definitely sounds like the Swedish chef from Sesame Street made up the names for this mix. So much energy and such little legs with which to exert it all!
21) Eurohound (German Shorthaired Pointer + Alaskan Husky)
This is one of the few on our list mixed with the Alaskan husky, rather than the Siberian husky. Eurohounds were originally bred for sled dog racing that didn’t involve sleeping on the trails (due to the lack of proper coat insulation).
22) Rottweiler + Husky
These guys are going to be protective and good companions for activities, but they’ll need a confident owner with training experience, as they tend to be a bit stubborn without proper guidance.
23) Wolfdog (Wolf + Husky)
We want to include this mix for two reasons: 1) Huskies, wolfdogs, and wolves are often mistaken for one another, and 2) Some people think it would be cool to have a wolf, and therefore go in search of a wolfdog. Unfortunately, wolfdogs are often brought into a home when they’re still cute and cuddly puppies, only for them to mature into a less predictable adult.
