In what may seem as strange news to some, a newborn puppy from Argentina was born with a trunk for a nose. What’s even stranger is that he bears a striking resemblance to Dobby, the house elf from Harry Potter.
The pup’s parent, Eduardo Landin, told the Daily Mail:
“It was kind of similar but also shockingly different to the other puppies, so I realised it was in some way deformed and at first I thought it was dead. But then I saw it moving and trying to feed, so I helped it over to the mother and it managed to drink something but its nose kept getting in the way.”
Landin also told The Mail that word of the newborn pup spread rapidly, and it was one neighborhood kid that came around to see him that pointed out the striking similarity between the puppy and Dobby.
The vets at the Animal Health Center in Landin’s town are just as baffled as the rest of the world at the pup’s strange protuberance, especially since he is the only pup in his litter born like this.
While vets think the pup may not survive for long, he’s currently being well cared for by two of Landin’s friends.
Here’s hoping some of Dobby’s elf magic rubs off on his little doppelgänger because this pup deserves just as much ruv as any other pup. <3
