Hello there, my name is Frida and I am the mail dog and CCO for BarkBox. (Chief Cuddle Officer.) My coworker, Scout, and I are in charge of many things around the office, but the most important thing is making the humans feel calm and comfortable so that we can provide the best BarkBox to the pups of the world. (You see, Scout and I are not allowed in the post office, so we have to convince the humans to do those types of things for us.) 😉
I call this move the “Nuzzle Shoulder Cuddle.” It’s especially powerful for calming down stressed humans.
My other duties around the office include coding emails, making sure the boxes are packed properly, and modeling for the BarkBox Facebook. (Hey, I know I make it look easy, but being cute is a full-time job in itself.)
I also help my coworker, Scout, with some of his Research and Development duties as he tends to get a little grumpy if the BarkBox isn’t absolutely perfect. I help him test the products, guard the office… You know, things like that.
Research and Development testing in progress.Â
I am also a bit of a feminist, and I believe in equality for all ladydogs. So when Scout tries to take over all of the destructive Research and Development duties, I always try to help. And I never give up in a battle of tug-of-war. Trying to win the small battles with stubborn coworkers.
There are also some wonderful human ladies who work at BarkBox. I am especially lucky because I get to spend all day with my best friend, flatmate, and inspiration, Becky. Becky is the developer for BarkBox and she’s taught me many wonderful skills that are vital to my occupational growth at BarkBox. (Like the coding of emails that I mentioned before.) 🙂
I don’t know where I’d be without her. She is up there with Barbra Streisand on the list of “Greatest Humans.”Â
Now I know Scout thinks that he has the most important job at BarkBox, he tells me this often, but I have to say– I know I am beyond vital to the whole process. Can Scout say that he helps out on customer support calls? Does Scout manage the humans to make sure they can do their jobs to the best of their ability?
I didn’t think so. 🙂
Toodles and Poodles,
Frida Lovelace
