Meet Poh, a 15-year-old Labrador from New York City.
He’s got the soul of a puppy but his body’s been going through the natural process of aging.
Recently, Poh’s parents found out that he had large inoperable tumors growing in his belly.
Instead of letting this devastating news affect them, his folks decided to do what they can to give Poh the time of his life.
Poh didn’t just travel cross-country, he hit 35 states, road-tripping about 12,000 miles in all. Just his mom, dad, and him.
After all, at the end of the day that’s what any pup really wants. To be with the peeps they love with all their loyal hearts.
Poh traveled all the way from NYC to the west coast, and stopped in Maryland, Virginia, Tennessee, Arkansas, Texas…
He even got to make a pit stop at Walter White’s house (of Breaking Bad fame) in Albuquerque, New Mexico!
And got to visit the iconic Buddha statue at the Peace Park in Sedona, Arizona.
Let’s not forget the classic pic in front of a Vegas sign.
According to his dad, Thomas Neil Rodriguez, the trip didn’t just invigorate Poh, it also helped his energy get better and better.
“He still has a lot of spirit it in him,” Rodriguez told Mic. “He’s not ready to give up.”
They may be back in NYC, but Poh’s dad makes it a point to go on adventures in around New York, just the two of them.
