A while back we shared the story of 7-year old Owen and his rescue dog Haatchi. Well, we’re happy to confirm the second F in their BFF status.

For those who don’t recall, Owen Howkins suffers from Schwartz-Jampel Syndrome, a condition that leaves his muscles permanently tensed. Owen’s limited mobility made it difficult to meet new people and make friends.

Fortunately for Owen, he found a friend in Haatchi, a three-legged dog who also has trouble getting around. Nobody else wanted sweet Haatchi, but for Owen it was ruv at first sight.

Their story inspired a heartwarming short film by students at University of Hertfordshire. Recently, Penguin Random House decided to follow up on the story of Haatchi and Owen (who now goes by the handle Little B) and have released their own film on everything that’s happened since the last one. If you haven’t heard, Haatchi and Little B have been very busy since we last checked in on them.
