Attention all Scottish Bark Post pawrents! Does your dog have enough animal magnetism to represent the entire country? Visit Scotland, the national tourism board, has announced their search for the perfect pooch to increase travel to the land of whiskey and bagpipes. An Ambassa-Dog, if you will.

The ideal dog will possess an outgoing personality, a passion for the best walks around Scotland, and a wealth of knowledge of the “sights and smells around the country.” Once chosen, the lucky pup will appear in TV spots and advertising campaigns for Visit Scotland. He or she will also need a strong social media presence for sharing tourist-luring photos and videos.

The Visit Scotland Ambassa-Dog position is unpaid, but the family of the winner will receive a 3 night vacation, and the glory of knowing their pooch is Scotland’s top dog!

The search is open to all breeds and ages from any region of Scotland. Non-Scottish pups need not apply. Pawrents have up to 500 words to convince the judges why their dog is perfect to represent “the spirit of Scotland around the world.” Be sure to include special traits and tricks that set your pooch apart, and a photo or video showing the 2 of you enjoying your favorite spot in the Scottish countryside together.

If you think your pooch has what it takes to be the furry face of a nation, click here to apply!
