If there is one thing I know to be true it’s that there are a ton of ways to make your dog’s day. A simple belly rub could do the trick, or maybe it’s a play date with your dog’s best friend.
For my two dogs, their idea of a perfect day couldn’t be more different. Molly enjoys sitting outside with the sun beaming on her furry face, watching the squirrels and listening to the birds chirp. Levi on the other hand zooms through life at a million miles per hour. He loves running, jumping, fetching and being the wild dog that he is. Just like my two dogs, every dog has his or her own idea of the pupfect adventure.
With that being said, we gathered up a few of our favorite four-pawed adventure stories! The owners of each of these pups went above and beyond to make their dog’s day. While their journeys differ, the things that remain the same are their wagging tails and thankful kisses – reminding us that every dog deserves to have their best day.
Maverick is an adventure-seeking pup! He decided to take a break from all his hiking to take a relaxing nap amongst the birds and the squirrels.
Tazo is a Dachshund Mix who became paralyzed, after suffering from a traumatic injury. Sine then Tazo was adopted, and received his best day ever from BarkBox in August of 2015. His adventure included: a rehabilitation session at Water4Dogs (including: muscle massages and a hydrotherapy session), dog treats from Shake Shack’s dog menu, a custom-made 3D printed wheel chair and enough toys and treats to share with all of his new friends.
Romeo was diagnosed with an untreatable type of bone cancer before he set off on a trip to remember with his owner Riina. The two celebrated his birthday, rode in police cars, sat in fire trucks and even visited the USA!
Poh is a Yellow Labrador from New York City. The pup and his parent set off on a cross-country adventure! Arkansas, Texas, Nevada and California were just a few of the stops along the way.

Leo is a hyper Hound who loves to spend his day relaxing belly up – waiting for some treats and tummy rubs!
Bretagne is the last known living search and rescue dog that worked at ground zero. The Retriever received a best day adventure for her 16th birthday. Her day included a trip to New York, an afternoon at Hudson River Park, and a birthday party equipped with treats, toys, and some pawesome presents!
7. Tres Amigos
These three pups came together to share their best day adventure. Next stop – the dog park!
Susie is a dog who suffered terrible abuse from her first owners before being adopted. For Susie’s best day she went on a trip to New York that included: sightseeing, treats, toys and even a donation for her non-profit organization – Susie’s Hope.
