Welcome to the life of Bima, the infamous Bingin Beach Dog. We were lucky enough to spend the afternoon with this salty dog on a recent adventure in Bali. Bima greeted us by wading into the water where we were swimming. He gazed longingly at us in hopes of a game of fetch or perhaps some head scratches. We offered him some shades that happened to fit his furry noggin perfectly and spent a couple hours learning about his life as a celebrity beach bum dog in paradise.
If you find yourself in Bali be sure to explore the Bingin Beach area. Bingin is an oceanfront cliff side village with loads of charm, delicious restaurants, surf, and friendly beach pups like Bima. After a swim in the crystal clear Indian Ocean be sure to have lunch at Kelly’s Warung. You’ll often find Bima here along with other local hounds enjoying scraps of tropical fruits and smoothie bowls. If you choose to stay longer than just the day in Bingin, Bima suggested The Sun and Surf Stay. For $60 a night you can stay right on the beach in a gorgeous ocean front room equip with air conditioning, a deck and hammock. We totally understand why Bima calls Bingin Beach home!
You can live vicariously through Bima by following him on Instagram. Here’s a little glimpse into his dreamy life.
