Making new friends isn’t always easy. Some dogs are social butterflies and can’t get enough of the dog park. Other dogs are reclusive nuggets who prefer nothing more than to be left alone with a blanket and a couch eight times their size. Although the latter are usually the more cuddly kind of dog, what they make up in cuddles they lack in adventure.

2. “Nothing to see here. Just having the worst day of my life.”
3.”Soon we shall be together, my love.”
4. “Halp, please. I’m stuck and still friendless.”
5. “Society says we’re too different, but we don’t care what they think.”
6. “I got too much junk in the trunk, and that’s why I’m here. But I am proud of my junk. It’s part of who I am.”
7. “I’m happy. I’m trapped, but I am happy.”
8. “I’m coming, new bestie! Just — argh! — give me a moment. *struggles* OK, give me several moments.”
9. “This was a good idea, like, 10 seconds ago.”
10. “Something just touched my butt.”
11. Dog 1: “Oh hai.”

12. “Uhh, is anyone gonna help me out here, guys? Anyone?”
13. “It’s OK. I talked with my lawyer and they said I will be free on probation in two weeks!”
14. “Will dig for friendship. Actually, nevermind, it’s too cold. Please come save me, human.”
15. “I may be stuck under this fence, but just look at how good the lighting is!”
16. “Nothing about this went the way I had intended it to.”
17. “I am smushed. I am smushed, but I am cute. Please enjoy my smushy cuteness.”

19. “Finally! It’s about time human got the hint to build me this.”
20. But ultimately, maybe the real ones who should be behind a fence is us.
