Nine months ago, Vincent was a homeless Bulldog wandering the streets of West Des Moines, Iowa. Last weekend, he was crowned Most Beautiful Dog at the 37th annual Beautiful Bulldog Contest.

Since his stray days, he’s become a member of the family of Meredith and Chad Green, who told WhoTV:

He’s not your typical Bulldog.

We’ll say! From homeless to pageant king in less than a year. The Greens adopted Vincent from the Illinois English Bulldog Rescue in February and estimate that he is around three years old. They decided to enter Vincent in the contest on a whim and clearly he knocked it out of the park!

Because there are so many entries, 100 hopeful Bulldogs are selected from a lottery to compete. The contest was held by Drake University, whose mascot is the Bulldog, and is the opening event of the Drake Relays, for which Vincent will be the mascot. He will be a part of the opening ceremony and many a photo shoot.

Congrats, Vincent! Life goals.
