Dogs in Wheelchairs Play Fetch, Inspire Us All

These dogs deserve a medal. So does their owner, Gritta Gotz, who runs an animal sanctuary in Lanzenheiner, Germany. She has rescued two dozen dogs from shelters, who get to live out the rest of their lives in the country, or dog paradise. Eight of those dogs are confined to wheelchairs, but you’d better believe that does not slow them down.

In this video, eight of Gotz’s dogs (five with wheelchairs, three without) play fetch together, and the pups with two legs are keeping up just fine with their four legged pals, and having a time of it. Dogs sure can teach us a lot about inclusion. And our abilities. And, you, know, sticks.
