Loyal Puppy Dotes on Orphaned Cheetah Cub BFF After Surgery

Remember the San Diego puppy-cheetah BFFs Raina and Ruuxa we wrote about a few months ago? [caption id="attachment_22085" align="aligncenter" width="640"]Image via YouTube Image via YouTube[/caption] Having been abandoned by his mother, Ruuxa was paired with Rhodesian Ridgeback puppy Raina by San Diego Zoo handlers. The two instantly hit it off, experiencing the world together like two fuzzy siblings. When the story broke and video of the two was released, the Internet collectively aww'd. Surely that was about as cute as it would get, right? [caption id="attachment_22088" align="aligncenter" width="640"]Image via Youtube Image via YouTube[/caption] Well, get this. Little Ruuxa had a leg defect that needed to be corrected surgically. Having been sedated, Ruuxa opened his eyes to find Raina sitting right by his side, concerned over her best friend's well-being.
