After six-week-old cheetah cub Ruuxa was rejected by her mother in the wild (she was an only child and that’s fairly common in the cheetah world), the San Diego Zoo Safari Park decided to take him in as a future member of their Cheetah Run. The problem: Ruuxa was all alone in the world, with no mom, no siblings, and no social skills. Enter Raina, a 7-week Rhodesian Ridgeback puppy. Zoo handlers paired the two together very early on and set in motion a lifelong friendship between the pup and cub! If one could be killed from cuteness overload, we’d be dead by now.
