Our world is full of some amazing things. Volcanos, for example, are amazing. Deadly and unpredictable, but amazing. Snowboarding is amazing. Goldfish are amazing. One might think a world full of so many amazing things wouldn’t have such cruelty as ours does. Like the unfathomable practice of caging, slaughtering, and eating dogs.
In South Korea, more than 2 million dogs are slaughtered each year for consumption. This deeply controversial practice is looked down upon by the vast majority of the world, but it continues to this day.
And it will continue tomorrow.
The featured video depicts Marley’s Mutts founder Zach Skow venturing into South Korea to expose the reality behind the dog for food industry. The video is, at times, very disturbing. But it’s important to know that these things exist, and to know that people like Skow exist – people who go far and wide in service of the welfare of animals.
