Snowy has been adopted!Posted by Animal Welfare League of Qld on Wednesday, July 22, 2015
When Ella's mom first discovered Snowy, the connection was instant. She knew Snowy would be the ultimate best friend for her daughter. Brooke believes Snowy will build Ella's confidence and self-love as she grows: "I knew she was going to be perfect for Ella - they share the same age so they both have a long life of friendship ahead of them. I just know that Snowy is going to give her a confidence boost growing up." What really warms my heart is that Ella will have daily life with a family member that can relate to her struggles and her successes! Many pups like Snowy can face challenges in finding forever homes because of their birth defects, which is heart-wrenching. Both Ella and Snowy can continue to set a precedence for love and acceptance in a world that can too often judge by appearances. Brooke adds: "It's going to be great for her [Ella] when she realizes she's different or when she's having a bad day, she will see the resemblance and know that she's not alone." Besides having a deep-rooted bond, the pair spend most of their day together. "I've noticed every morning, Snowy would look for Ella first before she runs to anyone else. It's quite a unique bond and just beautiful to see," said Brooke. Brooke added that Snowy doesn't let her amputated leg hold her back! Now, thanks to her loving family and the example of her best friend, Ella will learn not let anything stop her! Neither Ella or Snowy will let life get them down, and I intend to use their go-getting attitudes in my daily life. I think Snowy and Ella are perfect in every way and I look forward to following their adventures on Facebook.
